Viens no viduslaiku dzīvojamo ēku paraugiem, kurā ietilpst trīs ēkas, kas celtas uz šauriem zemes gabaliem. Ēkas fasādes un interjeri labi raksturo dažādo laika posmu arhitektūras attīstību. Ēka Mazā Pils iela Nr.17 ir vecākā dzīvojamā mūra ēka Rīgā, kurā ir saglabājies manteļskurstenis. Tā būvēta 15. gadsimta beigās, kad Rīgai nodibinājās ciešas saites ar Nīderlandes tirgotājiem un pilsētas arhitektūrā sāka parādīties Nīderlandes arhitektūrai raksturīgās renesanses iezīmes. Fasāde akcentēta ar pakāpjveida zelmeni un gotisku nišu. Ēka Mazā Pils ielā Nr.19 savu veidolu ieguvusi 1646. gadā, bet ēka Mazā Pils ielā Nr.21 savu izskatu ieguvusi 17.gs. beigās. Ēku fasādes akcentētas ar frontoniem un portāliem. Namu bēniņos ir bijušas noliktavas. Komplekss restaurēts 1955-1957. gadam arhitekta P. Saulīša vadībā. Restaurācijas laikā apvienoti ēku iekšpagalmi, kur atrodas sienā iemūrēts vecākais Rīgas ģerbonis un akmens portāli. “Trīs brāļos” atrodas Valsts Kultūras pieminekļu aizsardzības inspekcija un Arhitektūras muzejs.
